Fairmont Nile City

The commission covered the interior design of the lobby and lounge of Fairmont Nile City in Cairo, a hotel of 562 rooms and suites. The design concept was defined as “Natural Elegance and Contemporary”.

A lobby is the first and most used room of any hotel: it sets the guest's first impression and has to work for arrivals, waiting, meetings and lounging through the whole day. In a hotel of this size it carries the identity of the entire property.

The concept pairs two ideas. “Natural elegance” points to a calm, material-led atmosphere; “contemporary” keeps it clean and current rather than ornamental. NoVi's interior design team developed the lobby and lounge within that direction, so that both spaces read as one welcoming sequence.
